Who we are:

An t-Oileán Garda Youth Diversion Project is a community based, multi agency crime prevention initiative based in Castleisland. The focus of the project is to seek to divert young people who have been involved or are at risk of becoming involved in anti-social behaviour by providing pro social opportunities.

What we do:

The project seeks to provide young people with suitable activities to facilitate personal development, and promote civic responsibility and improve long-term employability prospects. The project endeavours to increase the quality of life within communities and enhance Garda/community relations.

The An t-Oileán project programmes and activities are aimed at changing behaviours, attitudes and lifestyles of project participants to being about positive change and learning outcomes. The programmes offer opportunities for personal development, educational support, employment training/experience, sport & recreation and other activities while providing a structured environment to add stability and support to a young person's life.
