Who We Are
The Killarney Community Drugs Initiative was established in 2007 as a Community based, low-threshold intervention for young people, aged 17 to 22, who are either at risk of Alcohol and / or Drug misuse, actually using / misusing or have recently stopped using / misusing and therefore need further help and support.
What We Do
The focus of the work is:
To support and equip young people who are experiencing difficulties with alcohol and drugs with the skills necessary to make informed choices about their health, personal lives and social development.
To provide support to families effected by alcohol and drug use on a one to one basis and or through a support group.
To also support young people in accessing additional assistance by making referrals to relevant agencies such as Addiction Treatment Centers.
