Who We Are
Transforum Alley Youthreach is: An integral part of the national programme of second-chance education and training in Ireland. It is a full time programme for young people who have left school early.  It offers opportunities to gain qualifications and to build self-esteem.  Youthreach provides a safe and comfortable environment to help discover young people’s strengths and skills whilst developing self-confidence and a sense of achievement.  It offers participants the chance to identify and pursue viable options within adult life and further education, and provides them with opportunities to acquire certification. It operates on a full-time, year-round basis.     

What We Do
Transforum Alley offers a range of FETAC Level 3 & 4 subjects.  The FETAC Subjects delivered include, Communications (English), Maths, Health Related Fitness, IT (Computers), Art and Design, Food and Nutrition, Food and Cookery, Career Information, Preparation for Work, Work Experience, Personal and Interpersonal Skills, Living in a Diverse Society, Child Development, Transnational Experience.    There is the opportunity to access counselling and to develop Literacy and Numeracy skills on a one to one basis.  The quality of the relationships that are built with the young people is one of the strengths of the programme.

A highlight of the programme is the Transnational Exchange.  Over the past ten years Transforum Alley has engaged in exchanges with groups in countries such as Slovakia, Portugal, Norway and the UK.  There is a strong emphasis on Sport and Outdoor Education in the programme.  Every young person in Transforum Alley does web wheel.  Web wheel is where you look at your areas of development and difficulty within the programme.
