Tralee
KDYS Tralee Youth Centre houses a number of projects and initiatives for young people from Tralee town and its environs.
KDYS Tralee Youth Union
This is a partnership programme between Tralee Credit Union and KDYS. Where young people can apply to the Youth Union for a small bursary to carry out an enhancement that will benefit their community. Last year saw projects benefit:
Bruach na hAbhainn Estate, Tralee, Holy Family Sensory Garden Project, Tralee, Scartaglen Village, Castleisland Town, Bhaile Mhuire Tralee, St. Louis Nursing Home Tralee, Christmas Party. Lios Rua Estate Family Fun Day, Connect 7 Project Family Fun Day, St. Johns Church Ashe Street, Tralee, Firies Youth Club Art Exhibition.
We will be taking applications for our 2012 fund in the near future and we are delighted to announce that Tralee Credit Union has increased the amount to €4000!! So a lot more communities will benefit. We are also looking at how best to structure the award scheme to include more creativity of young people.
